Yoshio Yamamoto (go: Eishu)

Founder, Shinkage-ryu Yamamoto-ha / Chairman, Sano Budokai

Born in Sano, Tochigi Prefecture in 1944.

Began training Kendo and Iaido under Toyoshima Kazutora "Katsumine", the 25th Grand Master of Shinkage-ryu in 1985. Founded the Shinkage-ryu Ichimon Sano Budokai in 1994.

We train 4 days a week at the Sano City Budokan, Sano 1st Elementary school gym and Fukushi community center. In line with Master Toyoshima's motto of "contributing to society through Budo," Sano Budokai have given demonstrations at pensioner homes, day-care centers, and special care facilities for many years.

In 2013, our Australian branch was established in Brisbane. Currently, there are 3 instructors and 13 students. Our Cambridge branch was established in the UK last year.

We look forward to seeing you in the dojo to train in the traditional Japanese culture of Budo. Drop by anytime if you are interested.
